Over the last few weeks, Rydon Homes has experiencing a surge in interest from people interested in putting their money back into bricks and mortar rather than into the bank.
According to Natalie Flint, Sales and Marketing Director for Rydon Homes, this is partly due to the uncertainty surrounding the banking system and the stock market, partly to the early reports which suggest that the market has ‘bottomed out’ and partly to the fact that developers are offering a number of excellent incentives, including part exchange, designed to help people get moving. On some of our developments, we’re using Smart Buy, whereby the property is purchased for 80% of its original value with the buyer repaying the remaining 20% in ten years’ time or whenever the property is sold.
“Those people who sold their homes when the property market was more buoyant have been renting properties in the belief that their money is safer in the bank. Now, however, they feel less certain and are beginning to think about buying a property instead. One couple, renting on a current Rydon Homes’ development told me they’d had to deposit the funds from selling their former home into four different banks and that they’d already moved their money three times!”
In Kent, Rydon Homes is marketing two superb developments: Merchant’s Mews in Canterbury and Weaver’s Place in Staplehurst.
There are only three new terraced houses available at the very popular Weaver’s Place in Staplehurst. The three-bedroom terraced houses are priced at £270,000 whilst the two-bedroom, three-storey house with a bonus room is priced at £275,000.
