The National House Building Council established the Pride In The Job competition in 1980 to improve quality and raise the standard of service to home buyers by focusing on the day-to-day operation of the building site and the work of the site manager.
Only site managers who demonstrate exceptional standards in every aspect of their work on site and in the homes they build will be considered for a Pride In The Job Award. The judges look for consistently high standards of site management demonstrated through quality workmanship across all trades on site, excellent leadership skills, reflected by a high level of morale and motivation on site, technical expertise, efficient health and safety and that elusive ‘X’-factor!’
“My name may be on the certificate but this is most definitely a team award,” comments Dave. “Everyone at Heatherview works hard to achieve the highest standards and we work as a team.”
Dave, who lives in Pett, between Rye and Hastings, has worked for Rydon Homes for over 25 years, completing a number of prestigious developments across the south of England. Heatherview, his latest site, is proving to be one of Rydon’s most successful developments. This collection of two, three and four-bedroom family homes is set in an elevated position about 1½ miles from Crowborough town centre and within walking distance of the railway station.
“Dave is a very experienced long-standing member of the Rydon Homes’ team and I’m not surprised that the NHBC has recognised the quality of what has been achieved at Crowborough. We wish Dave the best of luck with the next stage of the competition, which is the Seal of Excellence,” says John Kitchin, Managing Director of Rydon Homes.
Anyone interested in a high quality home in the Crowborough area needs to visit Heatherview, where prices start from £250,000 for a two-bedroom home. Information is available from Rydon’s sales team on 01892 664960, between 10 am and 5 pm, Friday to Monday inclusive. Details on all developments are also available on the website.
