The place we call 'home' plays an integral part in how family life functions, something that Rydon Homes, the award-winning residential developer widely recognised for its high calibre of home design and quality of construction, identified and emphasizes at Longwall Court, the company's new development in Felbridge, East Grinstead, West Sussex.

Located on a private road and gated at the entrance, all six of the houses have been designed with families in mind, creating spaces that work in the way parents and children need them to work, without compromising on style.

Longwall Court is comprised of 4 four and five-bedroom detached homes and 2 four-bedroom semi-detached homes, set amongst mature trees. The houses all sit in good-sized gardens with enough room for children to play and for adults to entertain. All houses have French doors opening out on to patio areas with lawns beyond. The security gate makes this a very safe and secure environment with no disruptive or dangerous through traffic.

“We know that a home is the heart of the family.” says Natalie Flint, Sales and Marketing Director at Rydon Homes, “At Rydon, we constantly think of how families work and interact and our goal is to provide the best possible atmosphere for this to happen. We make the space where families spend time together as pleasant as possible, which includes kitchens with enough room for the family to congregate for informal meals as well as spacious reception rooms. At the same time, we recognise that adults need private space such as ensuite master bedrooms.”

The contemporary kitchens are easy for busy parents to maintain and fitted with stainless steel finish integrated appliances and granite work surfaces. The bathrooms have attractive and practical Villeroy & Bosch and Ideal Standard fittings with thermostatically controlled showers and chrome Hansgrohe taps.

The appealing shopping centre of East Grinstead, which has the longest row of timber Tudor buildings in the country, is just two miles away and it is here that the inspiration for Longwall Court can be found. Standen, an original Arts and Crafts house provided the detailing for the family houses; the asymmetrical pitch of the roofs, the choice of bricks and the hand-made, tile-hung gables.

East Grinstead has a wealth of amenities including a good range of shops, a cinema and good-quality restaurants. The schools in the town are very popular and have long acted as a draw for families to the area, as have the transport links. With London Victoria only an hour away by train and Gatwick just over 10 miles away, East Grinstead is very well placed for getting around the South East and beyond.

Four-bedroom semi-detached homes at Longwall Court are available for sale priced from £350,000, the four-bedroom detached home at £400,000 and the five-bedroom detached homes from £650,000. Interest at the development is already high with the four-bedroom detached home reserved off plan.
