Buying and selling a home doesn’t have to be stressful - as the Ward family at Staplehurst in Kent can confirm! Using Rydon Homes’ part-exchange scheme, Andrea and James Ward have enjoyed a hassle-free buying process and a guaranteed sale without the worry of buyers pulling out at the last moment or holding them to ransom by demanding drastic price reductions. Now the Wards are looking forward to moving to Weaver’s Place in Staplehurst when their new home is ready in August!
With two growing children, Andrea and James Ward wanted more living space and all the benefits that come with a brand new home. As they love Staplehurst, a village with a real sense of community, moving away wasn’t really an option. New homes are a rare commodity in this attractive location, though, so it seemed that they would have to give up their dream of owning a new property and extend their current home. “We’ve been living in Staplehurst for ten years and were keen to stay in the village,” says Andrea. “My husband noticed Weaver’s Place on his way to the station and as soon as Rydon Homes opened a sales office, we were there. We knew straight away that Weavers Place was just what we were looking for and realised that if we didn’t reserve the plot we wanted, we’d miss out. We hadn’t sold our own house at the time but that wasn’t a problem as Rydon Homes suggested we could part exchange our existing house.”
In fact, for Andrea and James, part exchange was much less trouble than dealing with estate agents and buyers, there was far less uncertainty and they were able to agree a good price for their existing home in a short space of time.
The Wards selected one of the four-bedroom detached homes at Weaver’s Place which suits the family’s needs perfectly.
“The Rolvenden house type at Weavers Place met all our criteria,” concludes Andrea. “We loved the layout of the plot we selected which has a kitchen, separate dining room, spacious living room and an en-suite to the master bedroom. We’ve also got a good-sized garden which is really nice because many new homes don’t have much garden. We’re all really excited about moving in!”
Currently, Weaver’s Place is attracting a number of downsizers and people who have second homes abroad and need to have good access to the Continent. From Staplehurst, it’s easy to access the Channel Tunnel and the Eurostar Terminal. Commuting to London is easy with the rail journey to London’s Charing Cross taking about an hour – and there’s easy access to the M20 and A20.
