As many people are discovering, selling a property can take some time in the current housing market - and then there’s the problem of finding a new home that’s affordable. Happily this hasn’t been the experience of home buyers, Izabella and Michal Smykowski. With a ‘helping hand’ from Rydon Homes in the form of both part exchange and SmartBuy, the couple are now looking forward to moving into a brand new three-bedroom house at Weaver’s Place in Staplehurst!
Weaver’s Place is a delightful new development comprising just 11 new homes, including two and three-bedroom terraced homes and four-bedroom detached houses, designed to complement local architectural styles and providing an extremely high standard of interior finish.
When Izabella and Michal began to look for a new home, however, location was their first priority – and set within a leafy residential area in one of the area’s most desirable villages – Weaver’s Place is certainly well located!
“We wanted to buy a bigger house in a really nice place and spent some time driving around the area, just looking at various, different locations,” explains Izabella. “We’d heard that Staplehurst was a lovely, quiet village with a real sense of community and when we got there we discovered Weaver’s Place.”
“We’d already seen another new development which was a possibility but we really liked Weaver’s Place. The garden of the three-bedroom house we eventually chose, backs onto farmland, which meant that it was really quiet,” adds Izabella. “Helen, the Rydon Homes’ sales consultant was really helpful, knowledgeable and professional and when she offered some outstanding incentives, we didn’t hesitate in reserving at Weaver’s Place.”
Izabella and Michal soon discovered that, as they were hoping to move up the property ladder, part exchanging their current home was a possibility. They also found out that Rydon Homes is offering SmartBuy at Weaver’s Place which means that buyers can secure a new home at 80% of the original price with the remaining 20% payable to Rydon Homes when the property is resold or after 10 years; whichever comes first.
“Part exchange was really easy and it meant that we didn’t have to worry about selling our current home. Rydon Homes arranged a valuation and offered us a good price and we didn’t need to think – or worry – about our sale as Rydon Homes took responsibility for it. The team has kept us informed at every stage of the process. SmartBuy is a really good idea and meant that we paid less for our new home,” says Izabella. “Part exchange made moving possible and SmartBuy made it affordable.”
